Ways to Give

Philanthropy Unleashes Potential

You are proud of Temple’s past. You want to be part of our future. Explore the many ways you can make a meaningful impact at Temple below. Your support can expand access to education, support world-class faculty, continue to fuel breakthrough research, and transform our campus and community.

Appreciated Stocks or Mutual Funds

If you have held your securities for more than one year, your gift may provide a twofold tax benefit—creating an income tax deduction and avoiding the capital gains tax that would have been due upon their sale.

Donor-advised Fund

With donor-advised funds (DAF), Temple alumni and friends can now choose from two options.

Option 1
Use your existing donor-advised fund to recommend a one-time or recurring grant to Temple, or plan future charitable gifts that make a lasting impact. Learn more on our legacy giving website.

Option 2
Create a Temple University donor-advised fund through the new Temple DAF. With lower administrative fees than traditional DAFs and a streamlined platform for investing and grantmaking, it could be a great DAF choice for you.

Memorial Gifts

A tribute gift is a meaningful way to remember, celebrate or honor someone special. We can record your gift as a tribute and notify the honoree or their loved ones (without sharing the gift amount)—simply include the name and email or mailing address of the person to notify when you give.

To establish a named fund in someone’s honor or memory, contact the school or program’s development office. For sample obituary language, see below.
