The Temple University Young Alumni Association (TUYAA) Board acts as a body of ambassadors not only for the university, but also for all young alumni, supporting the needs and interests of all members as well as the overall mission and goals of the university and Advancement Engagement.
Board members are elected by their peers to serve for a two-year term from July 1 to June 30. Board members may be eligible for reelection to an additional two-year term at the expiration of their first term.
Board Eligibility Requirements and Applications
- Must be local to the Greater Philadelphia region.*
- Must be a graduate of Temple University.
- Must be 30 years of age or younger by the start of the new term.
- Members of the graduating class may apply.
*For alumni living outside the Greater Philadelphia region, please check to see if there’s a Regional Network in your area. The networks are always looking for support from interested Owls.
Board Member Responsibilities
- Attend quarterly TUYAA Board meetings (in-person and virtual).
- Participate in at least 75% of the TUYAA events and initiatives.
- Serve on at least one working volunteer committee
- Make an annual gift of any size to ensure 100% board participation in giving to Temple University.
- Complete annual volunteer responsibility agreement forms.
- Respond to board communications in a timely manner.
- Serve as an advocate and ambassador for Temple University.
- Be available to volunteer for a full two-year term

Board Applications
A new board of volunteers was recently selected for the July 1, 2024–June 30, 2026 term. Formal board applications will be live in early 2026. In the meantime, alumni interested to get involved are encouraged to connect with current board volunteers and attend upcoming alumni programs, events or opportunities.
