Student Leadership Council

The Student Leadership Council (SLC) is a body of current student organization leaders convened by Alumni Relations to share programmatic information and identify collaborative engagement opportunities across student organizations and the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA) at large. The Student Leadership Council enhances students’ experience, develops student-to-alumni connections and promotes the inclusion of diverse perspectives into TUAA engagement opportunities. Student Leadership Council members will serve as advocates for the TUAA, helping to broaden awareness and reach of the TUAA, aligning with several TUAA strategic plan priorities.

Council Member Requirements

  • Must be a current Temple University undergraduate student.
  • Must be an active member of one or more Temple-sponsored student organizations and currently serving in a leadership role or interested in pursuing future leadership positions. 
  • Responds actively to council-related communication. 
  • Offers feedback on programs and collaborative opportunities. 
  • Attends individual meetings with assistant director, as needed. 
  • Serves as a liaison to the student body of behalf of the TUAA and Alumni Relations. 
  • Attends relevant TUAA events and meetings. 
  • Members must be available for monthly meetings at 5 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month.

Timeline

New council members will be invited to serve in the role from September 1, 2026 through May 30, 2027.
