TUAA 100 Years

For 100 years, the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA) has been bringing Owls together to connect, celebrate, give back and make their mark. Since its founding in 1927, TUAA has grown alongside Temple, creating opportunities for generations of alumni to stay engaged with their alma mater and with each other.

Today, more than 385,000 Temple alumni across all 50 states and 154 countries are lifetime members of the TUAA.  If you graduated from Temple, you, too, are already a lifetime member of TUAA. No application is necessary.

100 Years of Temple Traditions and Owl Stories

When you attend an event, volunteer, connect with fellow Owls or give back to Temple today, you are participating in a passionate global community that has been proudly Temple Made for a century.  Throughout our anniversary year, TUAA will highlight the people, traditions, moments and milestones that continue to shape the association today.

The Next Century of TUAA Starts with You

For 100 years, Owls have found ways to stay in touch with Temple and with each other. The next 100 years will be no different. This generation of Owls has the privilege of deciding what’s to come in the next century of for theTUAA. Whether you’re reconnecting with old friends or making new ones, making a difference in your community or giving back to the next generation of Owls, there’s a role for you here.

About the TUAA Parliament

The TUAA Parliament is the governing body representing all Temple University alumni. It includes representatives from each of Temple’s school and college alumni associations, regional networks across the country and abroad, shared interest societies, the Owl Club, faculty and student organizations.

It exists as a leadership group to foster closer relationships between alumni and the university, serving as a two-way conduit for alumni everywhere. The TUAA president enjoys full voting privileges as an ex-officio member of the university’s Board of Trustees. Other TUAA leaders serve on key university and trustee committees representing varied alumni interests.

The Temple University Alumni Association, an independent 501(c)(3) organization, has supported major campus construction projects as well as alumni engagement efforts. It provides direct funding to programming initiatives including

  • student and young alumni engagement,
  • professional development,
  • regional programming,
  • signature events,
  • school and college alumni engagement activities,
  • alumni and faculty awards, and
  • athletics.
