Broad Street Finish Line

The Broad Street Finish Line Scholarship is all about creating opportunity for students while they’re on campus. In 2019, Temple refocused two existing scholarship funds to provide support and access for those in need, with two distinct goals in mind: to extend the possibility of a superlative Temple education to first-generation students from Philadelphia and abroad, and to provide a lifeline for Owls experiencing a tuition gap in their final years of college. General Scholarship Fund

The General Scholarship Fund provides a flexible method of extending financial awards to Temple students. Temple University was founded on the idea that diversity and accessibility are key to the very best learning experiences, and the General Scholarship Fund reduces financial barriers for promising students who may not have the means to fully pay for tuition. With 16% of the class of 2025 identifying as first-generation and 63% of current full-time undergraduate students receiving need-based aid, this fund is critical to attracting and retaining the brightest minds out there.
