Temple University Black Alumni Alliance

The Temple University Black Alumni Alliance (TUBAA) connects Black alumni with each other and the university, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship. Supporting Temple University's mission, TUBAA promotes alumni engagement, networking, and philanthropy. We focus on events, community service, bringing awareness and support for the TUBAA Scholarship Fund, and connecting with Black students.
Annual Signature Events and initiatives
All graduates are welcomed into the Temple University Black Alumni Alliance and are encouraged to get involved and stay active.
Signature Events—TUBAA’s annual signature events, including Family Field Day and TUBAA Bingo, look to bring alumni together for fun, family-friendly activities and to connect with one another.
Holiday Book Drive—TUBAA’s Annual Holiday Book Drive: Project GIVE collects new books for K-12 students in the North Philadelphia community. Books are distributed to hundreds of children at the TU Campus Safety Holiday Party in early December each year.
Homecoming and Family Weekend—TUBAA participates in Homecoming and Family Weekend by hosting a tent at Tailgate Village. Stop by to meet the board, learn about TUBAA’s mission and initiatives and win some branded swag!
TUBAA Scholarship—After a grassroots effort, TUBAA has endowed the Temple University Black Alumni Alliance Scholarship Fund. The annual scholarship supports students who are majoring in Africology or African American Studies, or are involved in the Black Student Union or other African American student organizations.
